I’ve been living at the Shelby for about 5 months now and it is one of the most spacious apartments I’ve seen in the South Loop area! The maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.
Also, I have a roommate and we have plenty of space and privacy. This is seriously a great apartment located conveniently by public transportation.

My fiancé and I have lived at the Shelby for a little over 2 years now. It was our first place together so definitely will always hold a special place in our heart. Would recommend this apartment building to anyone. The location is right near the Green Line so I can get to my office in the loop in under 20 minutes if I catch it right (but far enough away to not hear it). Building management is quick to fix anything that goes wrong, but honestly, in the 2 years we’ve been here our garbage disposal broke once but that was pretty much it. Parking is nice and spacious. Neighbors are nice but distant – you have your space which I love. If you end up in a north-facing unit, the view of the city is one of the best. Highly recommend!

I did comprehensive research of the entire Downtown area before selecting The Shelby, and the Shelby came out as a winner based on the following parameters I used:
– quality/ style/ space – well above most of the places at a higher price in the area up north; love the lobby, the furnishings/design in the apartment, etc.;
– location – very close to the center, though not ideal for walking;
– price – very competitive.
In real life, you also have excellent Property management and operations team on the ground, taking care of the residents in the most supportive way. The club area was just redecorated, with a new pool table and furniture. It’s always clean and smells fresh.
